MANIFESTO IN FAVOUR OF A BASQUE NATIONAL TEAM

1. Today our collective right as a Basque people to have an own national team is not recognized. As Basque sportsmen we cannot participate in international championship competitions, representing the Basque nation. Instead, if we want to compete at an international level, we are forced to represent different nations and wear their colours, i.e. Spain and France.

2. We Basque sportsmen want to claim our cultural and national right. We want to be able to compete at an international level in our own colours and sing our own national anthem. We demand a Basque national team based on our collective right and to participate in official championships at an international level.

3. We want to be able to select a team that represents Euskal Herria in its totality and to do this we need to create a National Federation of Euskal Herria.

4. Everyone’s help is necessary for the dream to become a reality as quickly as possible.
